I was so excited to see that this book is part of a series, after finishing this book, I wanted to know more about the characters! I can't wait for the other books of this series to come out!
This is the first book by Elizabeth Ludwig that I've read and I'm already a fan of hers! Although its classified as "historical romance" this book had enough danger and adventure that you didn't feel like you were in the middle of a romance novel.
Cara Hamilton receives a message from her brother (who she thought dead) to travel to america (from Ireland) and meet him there to continue their lives together. As she makes the journey she meets many people who become friends with her, and struggles to know who she should trust and who she shouldn't. Upon arrival in America she is unable to meet up with her brother and must forge a life for herself while she awaits his appearance. Through many struggles and dangers Cara learns who she can trust in her new life in America!
I highly recommend this book, it was very well written and had a great flow to it!
